Allow me to congratulate you all for the beautiful mission you are engaged in for the promotion of God’s kingdom among His people, and to thank you for kindly sending me all the brochures which give me more information on the extent of your apostolate. Yes, thank you very much. I am very happy to share your apostolate. I have just organized the Prayer Warriors of the Holy Souls last July 2001 at Gethsemane Parish located at Casuntingan, Mandaue City, Cebu through Msgr. Fred Kriekenbeek, our former parish priest and also our Prayer Ministry’s Spiritual Director. Currently, there are 45 members as an intercessory/prayer group, and we integrate the prayers for the holy souls in purgatory in order to help their needs. I would like to request some reading materials or brochures regarding prayers and about souls in purgatory, and more information about your organization. Thank you and God Bless. Lena R. Campos, President Organizer, Casuntingan, Mandaue City, Cebu Province

Hearty greetings from Germany! Thanks for the "Fore and Aft" publication, which I received a few days ago. I read everything in it and passed it to another Filipina with the request to share it with others. It’s very spiritually enriching! I reproduced the novena prayer and distributed to a number of Filipinas in Germany, mailed copies to Canada, Switzerland and Belgium. I have been praying for the holy souls for years. In addition to Masses and ejaculations, I pray for them when I pass by cemeteries during my travels and keep on praying for them till I fall asleep in the evenings. Now I also pray for them when I read death notices. It was therefore, a delightful surprise when I got some communication about the Prayer Warriors of the Holy Souls last year. It’s comforting to know that what I’m doing is a devotion done by hundreds of people. I’m really grateful to Mr. Edgar Lozano for sending me the information. He is instrumental in my membership to this commendable association. Peace and all good! Sister Grace Gerong, O.S.F., Olpe City, Germany

I was deeply touched by your wonderful thoughtfulness remembering me with the best gift I dearly treasure, on my birthday – the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Thank you so much.! The Holy Souls in Purgatory had been a great help to me in the realization of my contemplative vocation and they are a strong continued support for my perseverance in my consecrated life. Having experienced their generosity and help, how could I ever doubt that they truly care for us who are also struggling with bitter trials in this valley of tears? And a special thanks to Ate Chit Cailles for paving the way that I may be connected with you, unworthy as I am. Sr. Mary Paul Tablizo, O.P., Cainta, Rizal

The Mother Prioress of Monastery Pius XII, Fatima, Portugal has sent me your address to appeal my request to you, Lady. I am a member of the Holy Souls in Fatima. First I get a book of Read Me or Rue It about 18 months back from an eighty year-old Carmelite nun. I bought countless numbers of books and gave to several people. A lovely book explained well how the souls are suffering and the need of prayers and masses. I attend mass everyday. I have offered countless masses for the souls in Purgatory for the past 18 months. I am in need of over two hundred booklets. I am sure that you will take keen interest and help in sending me quickly. Though we don’t know each other, we are going to meet in the house of God one day; this cannot be avoided by anyone and it will also be an endless home for us. Herewith I am sending a photograph of myself and our former parish priest taken during my school days. He is Rev. Fr. Pio from Italy, a very good priest who can talk Tamil, Singhalese and many other languages. Joseph Arulsamy, Sri Lanka

With my request he had instructed all Legionaries (members of Legion of May, a lay organization) to include the souls in Purgatory in their prayers. Laurence Celeste, Limasawa, Southern Leyte

Maribel M. Garcia, San Pascual, Masbate

I have been praying for the poor souls in purgatory since I can remember, but not as often and as ardently as after I have read an old, torn booklet entitled "Read Me or Rue It" which I got from among several old booklets and magazines given to me a few months ago by a friend. I was so moved by the plight of the poor souls after reading it and since then I have had the resolve to offer every mass I’m able to assist at for their intention. I also started to practice sprinkling holy water on our altar everyday before I leave for work for the benefit of my loved ones and of the holy souls in purgatory. Rosario P. Dizon, Marikina City, Metro Manila

Our PWHS group is doing very well. Our regular meeting is once a month, on the last Saturday of the month. Our spiritual director is Fr. Frederick Malacas, Parish Priest of St. Jude Thaddeus. Zenny A. Ramirez, Kalibo Aklan

For sure I will try my best to fulfill all the requirements required from each member. Thanks a lot again and praying with you. Fr. Joseph D. Panabang, Ghana, West Africa

I especially commend and advocate
the "Prayer Warriors of the Holy Souls." Your unique, peculiar and
meritorious apostolate of promoting awareness and devotion to the poor souls in
purgatory greatly supports our Catholic Church’s advocacy for ecumenism and
assertively advances the theology of "the koinonia (communion) of
the whole Mystical Body of Jesus Christ." Bro.
John Jacome, President, UST, Theological Society, Manila

Greetings from Fatima during this month of Our Lady of the Rosary. This is the time to intensify our prayer and respond to Our Lady’s request to the Little Shepherds to "pray the Rosary for peace". "By insisting on the Rosary"’ Lucia writes, "Our Lady indicates the great need we have of prayer to obtain the grace of Peace among nations and peoples, in families and homes, and above all, peace of conscience and reconciliation with God." We’re rejoicing in Blessed Bartholomew’s beatification and now praying for Peace on Earth, as the Angels sung in Bethlehem, having greetings and prayers, and welcome back to Fatima – we’d love to receive new vocations – pray for that. Shalom. Mother Prioress Diane, OP, Monastery Pius XII, Fatima, Portugal
