Enclosed, please find my own application as well as that of two others. I am a missionary working in one of the remotest corners of the globe. It is a very new area for the church and thanks be to God many new tribes and villages are accepting the Lord in Baptism. I shall be happy to join you in praying for the holy souls as I generally do it. Fr. George (P.K.) Pallipparambil, Arunashal Pradesh, India

Aurora G. Salayo, Sampaloc, Quezon Province

I am very grateful for I am now one of the members of PWHS. Way back in 1999, a friend of mine, Aida Panganiban, gave me a booklet, "Read Me or Rue It". Since then, I keep on praying the prayers and novenas from the booklet. I offered masses for them every month. I deeply knew the importance of prayer and masses offered for the holy souls. I asked help from them both temporal and spiritual. I’ve read "Apologia for Purgatory" and my comments on the former member of the PWHS is that we must pray for him; he is a lost soul and a blind follower of God. Leticia Dy Bandibas, Naga City, Camarines Sur

Greetings of congratulations for a job well done. Upon receipt of "Fore & Aft" I learned that the prayer of St. Gertrude, the Great is now on nationwide radio and TV. Last year, we in Gen. Trias, St. Francis of Assisi Parish launched a 9-day novena for the holy souls and holy masses in commemoration of the faithful departed led and celebrated by our parish priest, Rev. Fr. George G. Morales. We used the 100 copies of that little book "Basahin o Pagsisihan Mo" which I ordered the last time I visited your office. Fr. Morales chose that little book for the novena because it contains the litany of the saints for the poor souls. On the 10th day, Nov. 2, 2001 after the 6:00am mass, we visited the three cemeteries in our town. Xerox copies of St. Gertrude’s prayer were distributed to all. Then with lighted candles we altogether prayed for the holy souls including that famous prayer of St. Gertrude. Then followed the sprinkling of the holy water to as many tombs as there are in each of the three cemeteries. It was a nice experience thinking that we have helped the release of thousands of souls in purgatory in that single day. We plan to repeat the same apostolic work in November this 2002. Enclosed herewith are 23 application forms of new members in our town. Araceli G. Grepo, Area Coordinator, General Trias Cavite

Many thanks for the regular copies of your publication Fore & Aft. I have reproduced some portions to be able to recruit my friends to your latest apostolate – spending one hour before the Blessed Sacrament. Actually we have already been doing that for a long time so I do not see any hassle recruiting them for Prayer Warriors. Since our Legion apostolate deals with souls we can always add your intentions and vice versa. Bro. Vic Sevilla is one of our most popular leaders. Ma. Teodora R. Caballero, Curia President, Pius XII Catholic Center, Manila

I‘m fond really of praying for souls in purgatory. I wish to help them so much because I know everybody will pass in that stage after death but here in this group of Prayer Warriors of Holy Souls, we can say that, we still have a chance to go directly to heaven after death. Jane J. Arabia, Roxas City, Capiz

Maraming salamat sa sulat ninyo and for the much-awaited Holy Souls bulletin. Congratulations on your 10th Foundation Anniversary. I rejoice with you and join you in prayer of praise and gratitude to God for each and every grace and blessing He has lovingly bestowed upon you and upon all the happy souls (living and deceased) who are in any way connected to this special apostolate and of course with all the Holy Souls who are also rejoicing and thanking God on this special day! I have been enrolled by Sr. Lita David, OCDS about two years ago and I’m grateful for the newsletter and forms you sent me, especially your greetings on my birthday Dec. 20. I am missing your subsequent issues. Is it possible for me to have the other issues still available? I find the articles very informative and inspiring. There is so much to learn about the Souls in Purgatory and how we can help them. I made a Heroic Act of Charity for them since 1982 and renewed every Nov. 1. If by my prayers, I was able to release even one soul, then I’m gratified. Heartfelt congratulations for the wonderful job you are doing at the PWHS. You are truly blessed! The souls must be very pleased with you both. Sr. Julie A. Calinawan, OCDS, Antipolo, Metro Manila

Now, a short anecdote on while I was working on the Treasury of Prayers. I couldn’t have done it without me invoking the Divine Will and the constant calling on the Holy Souls to pray for me moment by moment. You see, there were times when I would have gone several pages and then things would happen (blackout / a wrong key would touch off several pages) with me literally wanting to scream my head off ! But all things considered, everything came all so easily for me — even the corrections of Dohdo and the references (or where to look for them) — was like having it in my fingertips. Baby Saavedra, PWHS core group member, Parañaque, Metro Manila

I have been to your website and signed up for memberhip. This is a wonderful apostolate. I have thought about this sort of thing probably at about the same time you did. Sometime in 1989 I got hold of "Unpublished Manuscript on Purgatory" and I started giving out copies to friends and relatives. Meanwhile I am sending your website address to everyone in my mailing list and my discussion groups. [email] Nimfa Tangcuangco
