US & Canada Residents Welcome

…"See you in Purgatory", quipped an old lady in one of my casual talks about Purgatory. Apparently, she was overwhelmed with what she heard about Purgatory that she was able to utter those words instead of the usual "see you later". My jaw dropped when I heard her and told myself this couldn’t be a premonition ‘coz I’m traveling with my daughter by plane (remember 9-11?). I grinned and politely said "you may go ahead ma’am, I’ll see you in Purgatory in 50 years"…

In a vast country like the United States and Canada where almost everyone seems to be indifferent, God had allowed me to meet people whose devotion for the holy souls in purgatory are truly enviable. Through these generous souls, US residents of Los Angeles and Seattle, Washington, and Canadians from Vancouver became aware of PWHS. Father Nestor Rebong of St. Christopher Church in West Covina allowed me to leave copies of Read Me or Rue It and some starter kits in his parish. I was able to meet some members of his parish’ organizations such as Cursillo, Legion of Mary, El Shaddai and Bereavement. Ms. Prose Cabales of BEREAVEMENT had even invited her friends to sign the PWHS application forms and became instant members of this organization.

The charming ladies of Praesidium, Mary Mother of God at the Sacred Heart Church in Seattle, Washington namely Rosalie Rodriguez, Marylou Buckner, Fe Bacotot and her supportive husband Julian whom I have met in a park in one of Seattle’s festivals while they were distributing Miraculous Medals (of which my daughter Kris is one of the grateful recipients) also readily signed up to become instant members of PWHS!

Vancouver, Canada residents Fr. Vicente Borre, Claudia Sison, Bella Cagayat of St. Patrick Church; and Dick, steward of St. Andrews Cathedral were likewise very enthusiastic in welcoming info on PWHS.

As a member of the PRAYER WARRIORS OF THE HOLY SOULS, I am strongly convinced that it is our Christian duty to make people from all walks of life and races to become aware of Purgatory and on our responsibility to pray for the dead. And as we spread the devotion for the holy souls within our families, communities, and around the world, we would create a chain of prayers to loosen the sins of the faithful departed. Multitude of prayers for the holy souls means multitude of souls going to heaven.

… see you then in . . . my next talk.
