Theme of the 2nd National Congress of the PWHS
In line with Pope John Paul II’s proclamation of the period October 2002 to October 2003 as the "Year of the Rosary", an appropriate theme for its 2nd National Congress was selected by the PWHS core group headed by Fr. Jojo Zerrudo, PWHS Spiritual Director, in its annual planning session. The group selected from a dozen or so suggested themes, and the one selected was a phrase lifted from a letter sent by Irma Marija of Fatima, Portugal, in one of her letters to PWHS Executive Director Chita G. Monfort.

In choosing the theme, Fr. Jojo related the "Path of Life" to the Joyful Mysteries; the "Path of Love" to the Sorrowful Mysteries; and the "Path of Light" to the Glorious and Luminous Mysteries.
From there, the program content of the congress flowed. There will be three talks: The first talk will be "The Rosary as Compendium of the Gospel"; the second talk will be "Rosary: Purgatory’s Stairway to Heaven" and the third talk will be about "Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Patroness of the Holy Souls."
Confirmed speaker is Dr. Arnold Monera, holder of the Patrick Farrel Distinguished Professorial Chair in Religious Studies of the De La Salle University.
Members and friends of PWHS are invited to attend this congress. Please call telephone numbers 531-2157 / 531-0394 Loc. 100 for more information.
