PWHS Advent Recollection Theme:

When His Holiness, John Paul II celebrated the Mass for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi last Sunday, June 13, 2004 at the Basilica of St. John Lateran, he announced a "Year of the Eucharist" that will begin with the International Eucharistic

 Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico in October 10-12, 2004. It will end with the ordinary assembly of the Synod of Bishops, to be held in the Vatican from October 2-29 2005. The Holy Father stated that the theme would be: "The Eucharist: Source and Summit of the Life and Mission of the Church."

In line with the Pope’s directive, the annual advent recollection of the PWHS will have the same theme as indicated by His Holiness.

The Recollection Master will be Fr. Carmelo Hernandez, CS, Mexican, and Rector of the Scalabrinian Theological House of Studies in New Manila. He is also one of the Provincial Councilors of the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo for Australia, Philippines, Taiwan, and Indonesia.
