5th year anniversary of the Pwhs in Hong Kong

Last August ’99, after almost three months of working here as a Filipina Domestic Helper, I received a photocopy of Read Me or Rue It Booklet. This moved me to help the Holy Souls, having read the said booklet in one-sitting only. For a while, I became active in my prayers and in sending my donations to the Prayer Warriors of the Holy Souls (PWHS) Apostolate. Then I signed in as a member. However, being sinful that I am, I went through a lot of temporal punishment on the 3rd quarter of year 2000, which shifted the course of my life into another direction. One that shook me so much and lasted for almost 2 years, that for the first time in the 28 summers of my life at that time, and being so far away from home and loved ones, I experienced a severe tribulation, which I thought HAD NO WAY OUT FOR ME. Seeing the inevitable situation that lies ahead of me, I surrendered myself to the Mercy of God, pleading to the Blessed Virgin Mary to cover me with the protection of her Virginal Mantle, asking all the Angels and Saints in Heaven for their prayers and the intercessions of the Holy Souls. It was an experience that released my fears – KNOWN, REAL and UNFOUNDED. On this occasion, where I relied solely on God, He sent me all kinds of relief despite my unworthiness and it was made available to me through other people. Ma’am Chita Monfort, Sir Carlos Oda, Ate Chi Cruz, old and newfound friends alike and my beloved family, consoled me thru email and in writing, respectively, assuring me of their prayers. It was also then that I started to pen my intentions and good resolve, sending it to priests and religious here in Hongkong and abroad and to some known seers and visionaries asking for the support of their prayers. They in turn replied to my letters. Through it all, my struggles were worth it, having been backed-up with these sincere people, whom God has sent me, and whom I will call my living warriors.

With all the challenges I was facing, I was really considering the thought of giving up my responsibility as an Area Coordinator. But things didn’t happen the way I planned it to be, when Ma’am Chita sent me an email late March this year, telling me that they (Monfort Family) were coming to Hongkong to meet with the members here. It was God’s inspiration for me to pick-up the broken pieces of the neglect that I have caused Him to suffer and to put these in order; the things that I had started here. Moreover, PWHS-HK had been graced with two speakers beforehand, Brod Vic Sevilla with wife Sis. Nona (August 2000) and Ate Chi Cruz with daughter Kris (June 200l).

Whatever are the Lord’s purposes for each and every one of us, I really believe in His Real Presence and that He is always true to His promises. May God bless us all always in our day-to-day endeavors. And may this PWHS Apostolate be blessed continually and abundantly, leading more souls to repentance, making them aware of the state of their souls and saving countless Holy Souls in Purgatory.
