PWHS
members are encouraged to spend some
time in front of the Blessed Sacrament, depending on the time that they can
spare in praying for the holy souls. A favorite passage of the “defenders”
of the principle of the need to pray for the dear departed is found in
2Macc. 12:46: “It is a holy and
wholesome thought to pray for the dead that they may be loosed from their
sins.”
While
one can actually pray for the holy souls anywhere and anytime, doing so in front
of the Blessed Sacrament with the main thought of releasing souls from the pains
of Purgatory is such an effective way of helping the holy souls.
A campaign is being launched amongst PWHS members to ask for pledges to spend more time doing vigil for the holy souls. Join in the campaign to have round-the-clock prayers for our dear departed.
"Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice." Ps.55:17
