Hi to everyone! I want to share with you this story of mine. I consider it a miracle, a testament that God leads us in our daily lives.

It all started a week before our sponsoring class for our Singles Encounter 9 Seminar. I was assigned to be the Prayer Warrior for the Vigil room (some call it "Piety"). My responsibility was to make sure that the Vigil room was always with pray-ors or adorers, so I had to assign persons and make programs for them during their stay in the Blessed Sacrament. My problem was that I didn’t know what to do. I had never been a Prayer Warrior before.

Last March 14, 2005 Monday, I searched the internet for prayers, vigils, novenas, etc. I saw some but some of them were quite short and didn’t quite fit the occasion so I had to search all over again. Alas! on my second search, the Prayer Warriors of the Holy Souls (PWHS) website came first on the list. Without further ado I immediately asked for help and told them about my problem.

The following morning I received a reply from them asking to call and look for Mr. Carlos Oda the Deputy Executive Director of PWHS. I was so glad that I got an immediate response and that they were willing to help me. I was also surprised that their office is located here in Metro Manila. Wednesday I went to PWHS office and formally met with Mr. Oda and the staff. It was a very nice experience. He gave me suggestions and came up with so many different ideas and prayer formats for the program. He also gave me some prayer materials for the Vigil room and also for the candidates who will be attending the seminar.

March 18, 2005 Friday, start of our seminar. We had heavy rains in the afternoon, a challenge for the participants if they will attend the seminar. Good thing thirty two people attended. During the seminar everything went fine. Everything went smoothly from the Kitchen Team who prepared the food, to the General Services Team who served the needs and security of the participants and almost everyone in the seminar, to the Registration Team who prepared the directories, seminar kits, etc. to the Music Ministry and auxiliary groups and to the Vigil Team who urged everyone to stay in the Vigil Room at least an hour to pray and meditate. The seminar was a huge success! It lasted from March 18-20, and was held in Antipolo City.

It was a week full of sacrifices, offerings, praises, salvation and love. It was where Christians helped Christians in helping other Christians for the greater glory of God.

On behalf of SE8 I would like to thank everyone for the success of the seminar; to Tito Leo and Tita Amy, our shepherd couple, to the staff of PWHS who provided the prayer materials for the vigil room, and to everyone who prayed and supported us and most especially to our Creator for His direction.
