Pwhs GOES TO ANTIPOLO ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 2!
THE MASS IN COMMEMORATION OF THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED, as spearheaded by the PWHS, will be held this time in the
|
Cathedral of Antipolo. It is also known as the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.
The Most Rev. Gabriel V. Reyes, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Antipolo will be the main celebrant in a concelebrated mass. Bishop Reyes is a member of the CBCP Permanent Council and Chairman of the Commission on the Lay Apostolate of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines.
Bishop Reyes will be joined by Parish Priest, Msgr. Rigo De Guzman, PWHS Spiritual Director Fr. Jojo Zerrudo and other invited priests in the concelebrated mass.
Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 2, at 10:00 A.M., and will be on national television courtesy of the National Broadcasting Network. It will also be aired by Radio Veritas. PWHS members in the Antipolo and nearby towns of Rizal have been advised to lend support to this occasion.
This will be the seventh year that the PWHS has spearheaded this activity. The first year had the late Jaime Cardinal Sin as the main celebrant in the Villa San Miguel last November 2, 2000.
A 9-day novena for the intentions of the faithful departed, will be launched on the same day and will likewise be aired by Radio Veritas from 5:45pm to 6:00pm.
