I’m enjoying reading the autobiography of Congressman Narciso Monfort (Founder of PWHS) I did not know that he was a doctor of medicine. It’s good there are copies of the book at the UP Main Library and Roosevelt College in Marikina. They are inspirational copies for leadership, socio-civic values and nationalization. Tita Lily Botor, Q.C.

I have a little poem I’d like to share with you.
For the Souls
The Father awaits
your coming home.
He loves you so,
it won’t be long.
I pray for you
while you atone.
You pray for me,
I’m not alone.
We’re bound by love
that Christ has shown
to help each other
as our own.
So don’t despair
you’ll soon be home.
I’ll pray again,
I won’t be long.

Sharing from Sr. Elizabeth Villanueva of the Daughters of Mary, Help of Christians (FMA)
Grace and peace from Jesus our Lord!
I just wish to share this experience. Last night I was suffering from backache, stomach disorder and headache, all at the same time such that sleep wouldn’t come even at 1:00 a.m., that is, after three hours tossing in bed. When I stood up to turn on the lights my eyes fell on the booklet I have on my desk. I found it the other day – PRAYERS FOR THE DEAD. As I turned the page I immediately saw Chaplet of the Dead. Knowing it is what is asked of me to pray, I did so with faith and fervor; uniting the pains I went through during those three hours with those of Jesus and our sorrowful Mother; offering them for the poor souls for the conversion of sinners and unbelievers, and asking the souls in purgatory to intercede also for healing so that I could rise refreshed to praise and thank the Lord at Holy Mass.
RIGHT AFTER I prayed the Chaplet, the pains ceased!!! I thanked the holy souls and thought this prayer must be shared because it surely is of much help to them. Just remember that it is not just the prayer but HOW we pray.
