Linda Reyes (extreme right) with other devotees of the "2000 Hail Mary’s Devotion". They meet at the St. John the Baptist Parish Church in San Juan City every first Monday of the month. This devotion is divided into 20 petitions in which in every petition, the prayer of the Lady of All Nations is prayed together with the Prayer of St. Gertrude, for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. |
Linda Reyes worked for RADIOWEALTH FINANCE CO. (an institutional donor of PWHS) as a trusted and loyal employee during most
of her working years. She joined PWHS in 2004 and attended a good number of the PWHS activities. When she retired two years ago, this gave her a chance to go back oftener to her hometown in Partido, Camarines Sur, even as she continued to maintain residence in San Juan City.
Not content with just keeping the devotion of praying for the souls to herself, she has quietly taken positive steps to influence her own prayer groups in both places.

Judith Beluang, coordinator of the Devotees of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Danlog, San Jose, Partido, Camarines Sur, is a recent recruit of Linda Reyes. Judith is shown explaining the "Basahon Mo o Magbasol Ka", the Bicol version of the "Read Me or Rue It", to members of her prayer group. |
Since "Read Me or Rue It" is available in Pilipino and in the Bicol dialect (as well as in English and Ilonggo), she started distributing them to the members of her prayer groups. As a result, a good number have signed up in both places as PWHS members.
The "Prayer of the St. Gertrude" is also now a part of the prayers of both groups. It easily found acceptance and is now incorporated in the group’s present set of regular devotional prayers.
Indeed, Linda is one PWHS member who has elevated her service to a HIGHER GROUND and has expanded her territory in spreading awareness of the plight of the Holy Souls.
(Editor’s Note: For sure, out there is a good number of PWHS members who are quietly moving to higher grounds in their service to the Lord thru the apostolate of the PWHS. Do share with us your activities so others may be inspired.)
