CONGRESS SPEAKERS

The theme of the FIRST NATIONAL CONGRESS of the PWHS, which is: " JUBILEE OF THE HOLY SOULS: FREEDOM OF CAPTIVES, PARDON OF DEBTS” was for sure an inspiration given by the Lord to Fr. Jojo Zerrudo, Spiritual Director of the PWHS. We suggest to our readers to meditate on the Biblical Passages from whence the theme was lifted. For those who do daily Bible reading, read both the passages from Isaiah 61:1-2 and the Gospel of St. Luke 4:18-19, and read further the explanatory notes on both passages. Then one can get to fully appreciate the flow and comparison of events from the Old Testament where Isaiah mentioned those passages, to the gospel of St. Luke, where our Lord read the passages of Isaiah in the Synagogue, to the present years, where we now celebrate the Great Jubilee Year. We urge serious Bible readers to write to us their reactions.

Mama Mary, No. 1 Intercessor of the Holy Souls

 

 

Bro. Jiggers Alejandrino, Servant Leader of the MAMA MARY’S MOVEMENT FOUNDATION, INC., will be one of the speakers in the First National Congress of the PWHS. His talk will focus on the topic of Mama Mary as the No. 1 intercessor of the Holy Souls. As away of aligning his movement with that of the PWHS, he has plans of incorporating in the “Seed-Love Devotion”, a prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. The “Seed-Love Devotion” is a simple daily intercessory prayer habit, where at one o’clock, p.m., one is encouraged to pray one “Hail Mary”. This is followed by an invocation “Mama Mary, Lead us to Jesus.”  This prayer is beamed nationwide everyday at 1:00 pm on the TV Channels 5, 9, and 13. Soon, it will also carry a prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

Bro. Vic Sevilla, Jr. Found! 

 

In the April to June issue of  “Fore & Aft”, there was an alarm sent out for readers to be on the look-out  for Bro. Vic Sevilla,  and for us to be contacted in the event any of the readers know of his whereabouts. We also did our own sleuthing, and eureka! We found him! There are about 15 Vic Sevillas in the PLDT pages, and we wrote to all of them. The “right” Vic Sevilla responded after a few days!

Just who is Bro. Vic Sevilla, Jr.? Well, he happens to be the original organizer of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of the HOLY SOULS (of the Philippines).

The booklet of “Read Me or Rue It” that was given to this writer in 1992 was printed by Bro. Vic.  This was the same booklet that triggered us to join him in this apostolate of creating awareness of the plight of the Holy Souls.

Bro. Vic’s work as a marketing man brought him to the States but he continued with his apostolate, by giving talks about the Holy Souls, Purgatory and related topics.

In the forthcoming Congress, he will be one of three speakers and his topic is: “What is Purgatory All About?” Come, see, and hear for yourself!!!
